HA gets together every year the week before Sturgis starts. I went to Sturgis in 2006 and on the way home went through Cody. That town was still talking about how great it was to host the HA that year. It's the same story every year. They are flat out good for business in the towns they choose to gather in for that week. It's generally well publicized where they are going to be each year and rarely (if ever) is there a problem during this pre-Sturgis run.

Yes - I know there was a shooting in Custer a couple of years ago. One had nothing to do with the other from the stories I read.

Seems like in the article the problem was the protesters,not the HA,I think the police have enough guns to hold off any irrate citizens that might start any trouble!!!

Is that what HA is...just somepeople riding together and having a good time?The group I ride with are people that ride together and have a good time. The HA runs a little deeper (re: a hell of a lot deeper) than that. In my group, you don't have to"prove"your "worthy" of being with us. If you have a bike, you are welcome. Not sure, but I doubt the HA would let you tag along just because you had a bike.
