Default FS-107" (4.125") Axtell Cylinders

Axtell cylinders with some history. I have run them twice with unsatisfactory results. After the first try, sent them back to Axtell and they honed to 4.135" and fitted new pistons. I ran them again and find the setup noisy. I have sent them back to Axtell and Ron Dickey says the cylinders are fine but the pistons wore because there was foreign material in the oil. Piston to cylinder clearance opened up and noise started.

The cylinders are at Axtell and any one interested should call Ron and get details from him. He has offered to help anyone interested in buying these cylinders. A buyer would have to purchase a new set of pistons, so the cylinders would likely require another .010" hone; don't know if Axtell would charge for that but I doubt it.

$395 OBO. Anyone interested should PM me with any questions and contact Ron Dickey at Axtell for his suggestions as to how best to put these cylinders back in service.

With the trouble you have had I don't think you will find too many fans.

Trouble? What trouble? Ron Dickey says there is nothing wrong with the cylinders and will work with any potential buyer. After all, the cylinder are from Axtell; what more could one ask for? I have had a couple of offers but haven't got the number I want so I am holding out for my asking price.

Yes, you may be right and I might not get the asking price but right now, I am happy to wait it out.
