Will this work on a Sportster wrist pin? My research tells me the clip diameter is 0.791”-0.792".

The clip size should be ok, but there is another determining factor. Do you know the internal diameter of the Sportster wristpin? Here is some additional info:

the bigger insert is .540 diameter and approx 1 7/8 circumference, 1 inch long

the smaller insert is .443 diameter and approx. 1 5/8 circumference, 1 inch long

The 96" motor uses the .540 insert.

 

I've got the new wrist pins somewhere with all my 1200 parts. I'll climb in the loft and check ASAP.

Wrist pin internal diameter .504. Will the smaller insert work? I'm learning as I go. This will be my first cylinder/piston swap.

I think it will work with the smaller attachment, but I don't want to go so far as guaranteeing it. I have a little play with my wrist pin ID and the tool. If you want to double check, definitely call a dealer and ask if they use the same tool on the touring models and Sportsters.
