Exclamation Tamper Resistant Seat Nut

After reading and hearing stories of riders having their seats stolen I began searching for a way to increase the security of my $300+ C&C Seat at rallies like the Laughlin River Run and other places where lowlifes might look for an easy steal.

(Chuck at C&C can tell you stories of peeps coming to him at Laughlin or Las Vegas Bike Week needing, not wanting, to buy a new seat because their's got ripped off in a parking lot.)

The 29 cent standard acorn nut just wasn't cutting it for me.

I found this inexpensive solution:

Spanner Nut and Driver
Nut

Driver

Ideal for securing your C&C seat or any seat using a similar 1/4"-20 post to secure the rear of the seat. Made from a rust-resistant zinc alloy (can be rattle canned to match), you can install and remove these nuts with the included spanner driver.

Thread Size = 1/4"-20
Base Diameter = 1"
Height = 1/4"

I'm offering both the nut (one) and a spanner driver in a kit for $20 + $2 postage.

Yes some lowlife might have a spanner driver of his own on him but not as likely as a 1/4" socket, wrench or even pliers.

$22 for the set, postage included to CONUS. PayPal or check in advance only. PM me to purchase.

Allen heads might be some what of a deterrent too, as I don't think too many would be theives are that well equipped, but then again if someone wants your seat and has the time, they will get it one way or the other.

Problem is it's a nut not a screw or bolt holding down the C&C seat.

My seat is on with allen heads and a serious pain to get off even with an allen wrench. Nice product there Primo! I'll have to see if I can put together the funds for a couple of those.

Looks like a pretty good solution.
God, it has to be a lowlife SOB that steals a rider's seat. Of all things... the seat? Can't even ride home after that chit. Not that it's ok to steal the saddlebags, or anything else.
I'd love to sneak up on someone and knock the living-chit out of them if they were trying to jack anything from my bike. Not really hurt them, but just crack them good enough to get their attention and make them soil their shorts. And if they fell down a couple times until LEO shows up, then so be it.

I f___in' HATE thieves.

Could also use a security torx.
