Default Estate Sale - Harley Special Tools

Hi Guys - I'm offering up some brand new Harley-Davidson Special Tools that I recently acquired at an estate sale.
I don't need them, and I figure this is probably the place to get them into the right hands.

Most of it I was able to find new pricing for (and discount from there); but I couldn't find anything for the OEM torque plates - are they discontinued? I found an identical set on ebay that have decades of use on them for $899 (see link attached)... Mine are new in the factory wax. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Harley-Davi...-/392890259624

Any questions, please contact me here, or directly at fa-ja@hotmail.com; or my cell # is 604-649-6287. Located in British Columbia, Western Canada.
Thanks, Len.

Are those US dollars or Canadian? I ask as some of those tool prices are at or near full MSRP.

Some of his prices are more than new, somebody is speculating his *** off. Bought a box & lot and thinks he's sitting on a gold mine.

Thanks for your input TwiZted... sounds like you know more about this than I do. So which ones are priced more than new?
Thanks also for the shot at my character - I love that kind of positivity from people I don't know.
If you have a specific example of something that's overpriced, please let me know and you can make me an offer if you want.

nightsterept - Asking prices are in US dollars, thanks for asking - I should have mentioned that.
My apologies if anything is at or near MSRP - if it is, I couldn't find it - certainly wasn't my intent.

Actually I did my best to find the MSRP pricing on this equipment, and then discount it from there. I had no clue what this stuff was worth. S&S and Snap-On have online catalogues I could access, others I checked ebay to see what used stuff was going for... (That Neway valve machine for example is $2,900 - $1,800 sounds fair to me?). Bear in mind it's all brand new stuff - what's fair pricing?

I made a living buying & selling at swap meets for a few years as well doing engine work a few decades back and I have a number of the tools you want today's retail for, you want to sell start at 2/3 retail and that's realistic ball park unless you play the ebay game. A number of those are for older engines and unless they are reasonable they won't sell, prices when they were bought were considerably less and those who do them already have them or homemade replicas.

Example is the S&S balance kit, those were originally made by Rowe along with the flywheel jig, and I have both, new was $400 on the balance kit.

Flywheel kit maybe $150 and both those aren't used past the mid evo years so it's a very niche market unless the price is good.

Mic set $300 or so, I picked mine up for $200.

The Neway machine clean it up, pile any accessories with it and ask $1800 but be prepared to come down, this one I'd put on Ebay or some nation sales platforms not just motorcycles. Do some homework on this item and don't be in a hurry on it

Snap-on pullers 1/2 retail maybe, number of competing brands around that price point.

Torque plate set, look at competing brands, they go from under $300 to around $700. Big name stuff hitting around $500 or so. Find out what engines it works with, that'll help.

Good luck and if any of this help your welcome but it is realistic.

Thanks - that's actually very helpful, and 2/3 sounds reasonable - kind of what I had in mind. You're right - most people who want this stuff already have it, and most people don't need it.
I thought I'd post it here first before going to ebay - at least the Harley specific tools. Here's some comments on the pricing...

Kent-Moore OEM Torque Plate Set (HD-33446) - $800 I found aftermarket ones for way less too, but there must be a reason that Florida dealer is asking $900 for an old used set of the OEM ones??
Kent-Moore HD-33071 – Whl Brg Race Rem/Inst - $25 Retail is $38 in the KM catalogue - $25 is 2/3.
ROWE Flywheel Fixture - $250 These Rowe pieces are not being made anymore. I found a used one sold on ebay 5 yrs ago for $299. This one is NOS, I thought $250 was fair?
S&S Flywheel Balance Kit - $800 **$700 The S&S catalogue shows it for $1071. At 2/3 I would be at $700 I'd be happy with that.
S&S Degree Wheel Kit (53-0020) - $100 **$85 The S&S catalogue shows it for $124. At 2/3 I would be at $85. I'd be happy with that.
Prestons's XL Clutch Spring Tool (2546) - $140 **$70 This is actually a "Jim's" part - #97178-71. Sorry!!! I found one for sale just over $100; so maybe $70 for this?
Prestons's Drive Handle (5861) - $35 **$25 Can't find a retail price but I believe around $40. - $25 would be good.

These are the same torque plates on ebay right now - looks like they fit several models. I don't know if they were for sale to the public or just Harley dealers?

Will you do $200 shipped for the Rowe flywheel fixture?

Agreed, when I sell something used I usually ask 2/3 of the retail price, may drop to 1/2 if it's something I've had for a while and want to unload. Otherwise I just wait a while and relist. Sometimes it take several tries but it usually sells.

On the other hand my upper limit to purchase is 2/3 of retail if it's in really good shape and I need it. If it's just a "nice to have" I'll bide my time.
