Norhern Utah Ride
Sunday was a fantastic day for a ride. Left Orem yesterday at 8:30 while it was still cool and not much traffic on I15, and headed for Logan to have some breakfast with my brother. Going up over Sardine and past Mantua was incredible and dropping into Wellsville was fantastic. The temps were perfect and everything is sooo green.
Left Logan about 12:30 and took the old road out of Brigham through Willard to my mom's house in Pleasant View. Talked for about an hour and headed over North Ogden Divide and into Liberty and Edan. WOW!!! Headed down Ogden Canyon to The Oaks to see some good friends, have a beverage and listen to some music on the deck by the river, then headed back up into the Valley and over Trapper's Loop.
It was really a struggle not to head east to Morgan and over by East Canyon Damn, but it was getting late and I needed to head home. Took the mountain road to Lagoon then home on I15 and that was hot and traffic sucked. Despite the last hour it was still a fantastic day.

The Divide road was decent but did have a little gravel in places. I just took it easy and it was no problem and lots of bikes were out that day.
Not sure about the East Canyon road, but they try to open it around Memorial Day. That's another reason I ruled it out because it was getting late in the day for a possible closed road adventure. I was on it the last day it was open in the fall. I love that road also. I'll have to try Larry's next time through.
