I'm TDY in Colorado Springs until late May and try to run a 5k or 10k race every weekend. Anybody here do the same, I'd like to get a little info on some upcoming runs in the area and maybe meet some folks. I'll be riding the little sportbike up to Denver on the 8th to run the Race for Wishes, any good spots to check out while I'm there?

Hey i've been stationed here at fort carson for a little over 4 years now. There are so many places to ride it's unbelievable. If you are near fort carson i would recommend riding to the royal gorge canyon you can get there by taking route 115 out of gate 1. Also if you are looking for a great ride through the mountains i would recommend taking I70 west. Also you can take the ride out to the casinos in cripple creek which is another great ride. Fort Carson is also having an installation ride on the 15th of May at 0930 at alternate escapes. Hope this info helps

 

Outstanding, thanks man. The link helped a lot, found two runs much closer. I'm going to run the Fisher Deberry Foundation 5k on the 8th and the Run with the Bulls in Pueblo on the 16th.

Plan on doing a good bit of riding while I'm here, I'll check out your suggestions. Thanks for the info.
