Default Four Corners

Looks like this isn't the most active section of HDForums but thought I'd ask anyway...

Do any of you have recommendations for the Labor Day Weekend Four Corners Rally? http://www.fourcornersbikerrally.com/default.asp

Best Hotel to stay in (not really wanting to camp...but who knows maybe we will)?
What the camp area is like (proximity to the main rally area/events)?

Thanks...

LOL - no one posts here because we are having too much fun riding! That's my theory/excuse anyway!

I have no idea on the four corners gig, as I can't make it. But you really can't go bad in Durango, nice town.

I travel to Durango once a month to do safety training for a client. I can stay at Comfort Inn for $65.00 from Oct to June and then the rate goes up to $135.00. Being a tight wad I will not pay that so I will stay in Cortez at Days Inn, nice room and a good mexican resturant, for $65.00. Or I'll stay in Farmington at America's Best for $65.00 a night. Cortez and Farmington are about 45 miles from Durango. I'll bet you can book rooms in Cortez or Farmington for the rally at good rates.

My wife and I are considering heading out there for the rally too but I have a feeling we are going to be obligated to go to Vegas with some friends instead. I'd rather go to four corners but we will see.

I just realized that four corners and Thunder in the Rockies are the same weekend, I thought four corners was in Oct. Looks like four corners is definitely out.

I like to camp at the Sugar Pine Ranch just north of Mancos Colorado.
Good place for a base of all the activities in the area and a private rally in its own way when staying there.

Thanks you guys!

I booked the Holiday Inn on Main Street in Cortez. Hope that was a good move and not too far from things. Either way, it's damn nice area for riding, so should be good.

Good Choice,
I stayed at Days Inn across the road from the Holiday Inn on Monday and Tuesday.
There is a very good Mexican Restaurant in front of the Days Inn. Holiday Inn has a pretty good place to eat also. If you like old fashioned drive in hamburgers, do not miss the Burger Boy Drive-In. About 4 blocks west of the Holiday Inn on Main.
Have Fun
