We are making the same trip during the early part of July to arrive in Seattle area on July 11th or 12th. \\;\\\\\\; We are looking at going out of Denver to Boulder and across the Trail Ridge Road through Rocky Mountain National Park then down through Winter Park and Fraser to I-70 then to Grand Junction, Dinasuar National Monument and Chief Joseph Highway across Beartooth Pass and then to Yellowstone. \\;\\\\\\; \\;\\\\\\; I am just starting our planning and will keep in touch if you are interested in riding part of the trip together or comparing notes on the route.

Great route BUT: Leaving Rocky Mountain Natl. Park you're in Grand Lake. \\;The road out of Grand Lake takes you to Granby. At Granby you're already west of Frasier and Winter Park. \\; Consider going west on 40 to Vernal, Utah past Steamboat Springs rather than doubling back to the east and going south to I-70 when your destination is north. \\; You'll still go by Dinosaur and Flaming Gorge.
 \\;
I live in Colorado, and although I-70 through the Rockies is beautiful. \\; Highway 40 is too, and a straighter shot. \\;
 \\;
Hope you have a great trip.
