Default Selling the Scoot - Help me on an asking price?

Haven't been on here in quite some time. I've had a lot of life changes the past couple of years, new son, new house, new job. I've ridden the scoot just a few times the last couple of years and I already sold my LEDSLED. Just wondering what you think I should ask for my scoot?

Runs perfect, now mechanical issues whatsoever. Has a bunch of mods that were expensive and I realize I will not get my money back. Has new tires, new everything really. Ready to ride. Synthetic oil changes and all the right things done. I have a bunch of goodies to offer with it, DVDs, Helmets, tender, even a $500 harley jacket worn one time.

Here is my album, the first few pictures are what the bike looks like today. However others that show some of the mods. Has 9,942 miles.

Thanks for you input as usual. I know you guys will give me an honest answer. I'm not trying to get major bucks. Just sell it quickly and let someone else enjoy it as much as I did. Except they don't have to spend all the $$$ I did on mods!

Seriously? Heck why not ask 30K,? It's a nice bike but damn a brand new one can be had for 10K. Yes I know it has upgrades, but it's still a 2010 bike. We all know that you never get the money back for upgrades. Not slamming the bike at all or the OP but 10k ? I bought a 2011, 1200 Custom last year with 500 miles for $7500. Yes it was bone stock except for the exhaust, air cleaner and tuner.

true sad to say,but i think you have to ask $1000 less then the price of a new one if you ever want it to sell.

Mods or not it will not be an easy sell. Your mods and look will appeal to a certain person. Your flavor isn't for everyone. Unless 1200 conv I don't think 6 range is out of line. More than that its gonna sit a while. Every area is priced different. Search Craig's list and cycle trader so in. See prices closest to you and you will find a baseline to go off of. Good Luck and you can always post it here in the classifieds as well.

I agree. If you find someone who gets a woody over the bike as it lies then yea you might get $8500 ish. But in reality the best way to buy a bike is as close to stock or just stage 1 as possible. Expect 7500-8k depending on your market.

My dealer had a 2011 48 for $8k with like 5,000 miles.

The bike just has a Screamin Eagle Tuner, pipes, and air cleaner. No conversion. I think $7,000 sounds fair to me and see what happens. I own the bike outright so I'm not looking to be unrealistic or try to pay off a loan.

Thanks for everyone's input!
