2006 RoadKing Classic
I have a 2006 Maroon RoadKing Classic I am looking to trade for a streetglide or to sell and find one. It has 32,000 miles, 2 windshields, 2 seats, driver and passenger backrest, tour pak, highway pegs and same grips, rush mufflers with stock in box, extra chrome. Beautiful bike. I am looking to get $13,200 for it. I am from Northwest Iowa and it seems like evryone who posts on here are so far away from me.

Used bike market appears down and you're selling in the dormant season. I've been browsing the classifieds for a few weeks now and have seen some tremendous deals. Even locally I've seen the same - I was recently offered to buy an 05 electra glide with 18k for only $11000.
GL with the sale.

davey, what they say above is true. Most guys have immaculate bikes and when they sell them, the market dictates the price. It puts that motorcycle way closer to $10,000 to $11,000, IMO.
New buyers will point out that it only cost $17,500 new, ( as I recall,) is 6 years old, and there are a ton of them out there in markets that don't require hours of driving just to see it.

Davey,
Have you given any thought to trading it in? That may sound stupid, but if Iowa is like many states, you pay sales tax on the "difference" in price between the two bikes. I traded in my Street Glide for an Electra Glide Classic. Of course the dealer gave me a wholesale price for the bike, but it needed new tires and new brakes and by trading it in, I didn't have to pay $1,400 in sales tax - only a few hundred on the difference. And I didn't have to wonder when it would sell. Just sayin'.........
If you're convinced you want to sell it yourself, you may want to increase your bike's exposure. In other words, list it in local papers, statewide auto, RV, Motorcycle, ATV sale mags. Craigs List and E-bay are other options.
