2006 RoadKing Classic

If you like your bike, my suggestion would be to spend a little money on a detachable fairing. I've put a couple of Wide Open Customs fairings on friends bikes...they can be purchased new for around $1K with stereo, are easy to install, and shouldn't cost too much to paint. The two I painted needed a few hours of prep work but turned out really nice.
You're going to be really disappointed with the money you'll get for your bike (believe me, I have a couple I'm trying to sell) and the money to add a fairing (if that's all you want) isn't much compared to paying the difference for a Street Glide plus tax, licensing, etc.

The competition is fierce. Wildcat465 just posted (yesterday) a 2008 RKC for $13,500. It's 2 years newer, it has a 96" engine, 6 spd trans., 6 gal. fuel tank, ABS brakes, throttle-by-wire throttle control, security and 20,000 miles. Plus he's got all kinds of add-ons. If I'm looking for a Road King, I'm gonna be lookin' at his King real hard.
As someone said, it's a soft market, unfortunately.

i am looking for a new hd, as i wrecked mine. 13k may or may not be high, but the 32k miles on it worry me as the tc has the timing chain issues and i would be looking at that also. would have to look into the wear and then replacement to make it a stronger bike. and yes pix will sell the bike.
