Well look at it this way...the local dealer has a 2006 FXD with 6500 miles bone stock on the floor priced at 10,500. Blue book is approx 11,500 for mine so that is how I priced it. I am not pressured to sell.

 

$6,680.00 plus $400.00 IF it's fuel injected, that's what the dealer has in the 2006 Dyna you mention. They do NOT pay over trade in when they take them in. He priced it at $10,500.00 so that he can over-allow a guy about $2,500.00 more for his trade than he's really paying for it. Makes the buyer happy. Most guys probably owe more on their trade than it's worth, that's why they're trading and not selling on their own. Plus, the dealer arranges finance and offers extended warranties, another rip-off, but I won't go there.

Hope you get it sold. And if someone wants to trade in their bike on yours, take it at KBB trade in value and just sell it. I've done this with 8 bikes in the past 2 years and I just last week ended up with ALL my $$$ investment back in cash in my hand, and a free 2003 VROD with thousands in extras and only 5K miles. Lotsa wheelin' and dealin', but I finally ended up with a free bike, and a sweet one at that !!!
So, if someone wants to trade one in, take it at KBB trade in value.
