Just did another N.A.D.A. value report. Value has increased $7325.00 Ec $5800.00 VGC $4450.00 GC $3775.00 fc $3175.00 Pc. Someone that wants a great collector peice this is the bike

 

funny the nada book here on net goes back to 1986 only.youd be doing good if 3k.lets see pick up a 2 or 3 yr old 883 same strongness as a ironhead.not to mention the nonexistant topend rebuilds every 10 to 15k for a good used one maybe give anywheres from 4 to 5500 for it.

 

It is apparent that 06dynablack has not mastered the use of the N.A.D.A. web site.
There is a seperate section for antique bikes.
True you could get a newer bike for less, but they are not going to be worth what this one is after 25 years.
As far as problems with Ironheads, I have owned 3 and never experanced any problems with any of them.

well you must have got the exceptional ironheads lol or you didnt put no miles on em.3 ironheads? if so lucky with no problems why buy 3 of them.ihad shovel & iron both need attention before 15kSUNSHINE. but i guess i didnt get the best ones off the line

I'm not gonna knock Ironheads. I rode my bike 42k miles on the same size bore and only had to rebore it after a wrist pin keeper came out and let the pin eat the cylinder wall. BTW, when I did the top end job for that incident, the valves and guides were still in spec....Maybe I just got a good one.

At any rate, I still have the $3k offer on the table.

 

cant believe this guy is selling a collectors item which looks in great condition for a reasonable price and someone jumpin all over him. this bike in 20 years might be worth who knows how much. i would store it away if it was mine.
