Since I sold my Streetbob I've been trying to educate myself on StreetGlides. The salesguy at the local dealership went through all the changes on the '09 touring models, frame, 180 tire, etc. I know in '06 they had the 5 speed, the '07 has a smaller gas tank than the '08s and then the '09s and I know the '10s have the new exhaust.
Has anyone ridden all or most of the different models and is there a big difference and if so, what are they? For instance: Is the '09 THAT much better than an '08?

 

Because of work I have ridden every year of Street Glides made. Rode my first 09 on a Tuesday and traded in my 04 Road King a week later when the 1st non-reserved SG was delivered to the shop. Personally I think the difference is night and day. Putting a true-track on an 08 and earlier does help quite a bit, but I still would stick with 09+. Stock I like the 09 exhaust better than the 2010. No cats and the 02 sensors are larger and located where they should be.

 

If I knew the 09's were coming with all of the upgrades, I would have waited to sell my 2000 RKC. Having said that, I love my '07 and will keep it for a long time.

I recently purchased an 09 and would not purchase anything older due to the iimprovements in the frame. I also think the difference is night and day. Just my personal opinion though. I must say though, I am not sure why this thread is in this section as opposed to the touring section?
