Looks like you put some love into that ride. If you don't mind me asking, why are you selling?

I was at the dealer today gettin' the new back tire... & while I was waitin' around, the sales person wanted me to know that the 3 08 Cross Bones sitting on the show room floor were on sale for $15,999.

They offered me a prety good trade in on my DF (in stock trim) and if I financed the Bones on a four year term the monthly payment would be $40 less than what I'm paying on my current 3 year term for the Bob.

My dread of paying for a motorcycle for four years is almost equle to my desire for a soft tail spinger.

I know I can get more for my Bob through a private sale in it's current trim, or even in the stock trim if some one perfers (I always keep the stock parts).

It's definatly going to be for sale in the spring (for the same price) for the purpose of aquiring an 08 Cross Bones... so why not now?

OK, not to rain on your parade or anything, but for $1500 more you can get a brand new bike with 0 miles on it. Is that really a reasonable price to ask?

I mean, I hope you get it, I'm just surprised in this fiscal environment it would be possible.

I would have to agree, the day's of getting that close to MSRP for a used bike with 11k on the odometer are over.
But considering the Fat Bob is such a popular bike and the recent production cut backs, you might get lucky...
Good luck!!

I’m not offended… I know exactly what I’m asking and why I’m asking it.

I really enjoy the Fat Bob and can see myself riding it for the remainder of my days upon the earth.

I'm sure the selling price will come down to the same thing that every thing else seems to come down to... a matter of desire.

I always enjoy the ride... rain or shine.

Judging by the way they sold this year... when do you think anyone will find a Fat Bob for less than $1500 under MSRP? The dealers aren't going to reduce the price on a bike that people are ordering months in advance.

Yea, it's a reasonable price... as long as it doesn't start raining Fat Bobs.

It's worth what some one will pay for it. Forum folks here thought $5,100 for my 03 883 Hugger was too high. Sold it locally for $5,800.
My RK is now for sale and it isn't cheap either.
Good luck.
