Default Feeler: BAD *** 2008 Deluxe - SO CAL

Well gentlemen,

The wifey and I planning to sell our current house and buy a bigger house (wife & 2 kids 8 & 4). We've grown out of our current house and have decided to 1st pay off some debt, so unfortunately some toys have to go

Ive checked out craigslist in this area and am finding that bikes that are modded like mine, year and same milage are going from 12k-17k. The reason why Im putting this up as a feeler, is because Id like some feedback as to what I should place my asking price at. Please keep in mind that I know the aftermarket parts dont usually mean much on a re-sale, but I feel this bike is in immaculate condition!

So without further a-do!

Well, I see a mod moved this into the m/c 4 sale section (even though its not technically 4 sale yet), but there's already a thread here, can someone delete the other thread pls?

Honestly, 19.5k is crazy. However I have seen many a fool parted with their money. Nice bike though.

BTW, the bike is currently on craigslist and now the feeler has turned into a 4 sale thread!!! So who wants to buy my bike

Are any of the other comps selling at that price? A quick look at chopper exchange shows there are deluxes for 2008 with similar miles not selling for $12,500. I wouldn't even think of buying an 8 year old deluxe for more than MSRP on a current year model. I know there are lots of nice mods done but that stuff is very personal and someone buying your bike will still want to change some things out and incur some of the same cost they would if they just bought it new. No harm starting that high and hoping for a home run, I just wouldn't get your hopes up.

Thanks Dan!

Im seeing similar bikes for 12k-17k.

Totally understand what you are saying and trust me, my hopes are not that high, but considering I do have a loan on the bike that needs to get paid off, I do need the numbers to be right!

I know lots of folks will take off most aftermarket items and part them out since they have way more value sold individually than on the bike most of the time. Just time consuming and irritating dealing with people when you do that. Food for thought.
