Vintage HD parts invitory,CA
I have been approached by numerous EBayers about this lot. All they seem to want to do is EBay the goodies and forget about the rest, “I won’t” let this happen. I’m looking for a shop, a group or a person that still works on old school or vintage bikes that seeks original parts. There is a load of “oh sh*t” where did it go! type parts. Clips, springs, bearings, odd ball widgets, you know the ones you have a hard time trying to figure out just what to call them or where to get them.
This inventory is 100% Harley Davidson. Nothing newer than 1997 and I have yet to figure out just how old some of it is, some of it is back in the 40s.
The better way to describe this thing, Take an older HD business as opposed to the new and “wonderful”, brick and mortar HD dealerships, pull out the bikes and complete motors and launch the rest in a 45’ semi trailer down both sides with an isle through it. Any parts that was left over from any work was retained.
This is an eclectic mix of just about everything parts. It seems to center mainly around the 70s. It would be a damd shame to break it up and it would be nearly impossible to duplicate. This thing has not been “swapmeeted” or picked over. I’ve had lots of offers and have refused most, a couple of parts here and there, nothing important.
A lot of stuff from frames to nuts and bolts, wheels, tires, spokes, hubs, iron jugs, brakes, rotors, sprockets, rocker boxes, cams, manuals, rings, pistons, electronics, lights, lenses, old chrome, sissy bars, old fenders, old tanks, seats, jetting kits, old exhaust systems, specialized tooling, control cables, fuel lines, carburetors, two trike frames, swing arms, bead blaster, H press, you get the idea, the rest would drive you nuts trying to find it. The list can get longer.
There is in the neighborhood of 10+ tons of it.
Don’t think I’m nuts because I’m looking for a specific buyer, I want this in hands that will use it, not loose it, because they couldn’t sell it on EBay. I’ve owned this for a number of years and will continue until I find the right people.
Interested parties should contact me about photos and the end damage. I invite and encourage a face to face and an eyes on inspection. Trades, deals bartering and of course cash, all will taken into consideration.
It’s located about 200 miles west from Laughlin Nevada in California.
