Default Bub 7 slip-on mufflers

Well, I found out the hard way that the 95-08 Bub 7 slip-ons don't fit on the 09's. I purchased them through Eastern Performance and looks like I'll have to pay a 20% restocking fee plus shipping to send them back and get the right ones.

Anyone with a 95 to 08 Touring bike interested in these? I paid $411.45 for them shipped. I will sell them for that price and pay the shipping. They are absolutely beautiful mufflers.

Thanks,
Rick

Ok, $400 shipped to your door. If no one takes them by tomorrow, I'll be exchanging them.

What do you mean they won't fit. I have them on my 09 Ultra and they fit fine.

The axle nut almost touches the muffler body (The stock mufflers have indentations for clearance of the axle nut). Also, where the mufflers bolt underneath the saddlebags, I guess due to the bags being further back on the 09's, the bracket doesn't line up with the holes in the Bubs. I can slide the bracket to make it work, but I end up with just enough of the bracket sticking out of the front of the rubber mount to put the bolt through.

You didn't have either of these issues with the Bub's? I went back and checked Eastern Perfomance's website and they list different part numbers for the 09's.

Thanks,
Rick

You are right the right side is a little tight. But they bolt up ok on my bike. And they sound so dam good that I had to have them untill I could get the full set on the 09. The only thing is that the end caps on the full set for 09 is they are different. Check out there web site and you will know what I mean.

What about the mounting brackets under the saddlebags? Did you have to move them off center to match up with the holes on the mufflers?

No not at all. If I remember today I'll try to get some picks of the mountings.
