I am selling the 2008 Anniversary Paint (#309 out of 7000) set off my Ultra Classic asI am going toa different paint scheme. It will be available in about 2 weeks or so. why would you go through the hoops to get an anniversary model /color just to put another paint scheme on and sell the OE? I just wonder because in our market here in INDY they are selling about 2k over msrp/

 

would you be interested in selling some of the parts seperatly or as a whole set.

 

I really didn't want the Anniverary edition. I purchased it because at this particular dealer (and others in my area) the Anniversaryeditions were the only ones coming in with ABS on them. If I wanted to wait longer I could have had a different color with ABS but it didn't make any difference to me as I was going to swap out whatever color I got for the paint scheme I like;Vivid Black; no pinstripes. I already had a complete Vivid Blackwith no pinstripes paint set for my '07 Ultra thatI was going to put on it. I sold the '07 when I got the '08 and am now putting that paint set on the '08. The only problem was the '08 fuel tank which I now have and it is in the process of being painted. When I get it back from the paint shop I will install all the components. I also had to order anew seat, backrest pad and fuel tank door.

The priceI paid was not muchmore thanif I ordered a different color with ABS and the security system on it which comes standard on the Anniversary Edition.

 

I am selling it as a whole set. If I can't sell it that way I will store the tins and ride it with the Vivid Black Paint and the 105 Anniversary fuel tank door, seat and backrest pad. I have even thought of painting Copper Pearl flames on the Vivid Black paint set to give it a different 105 Anniversary look. The Copper Pearl is actually quite an attractive color, particularly in the sunlight.

 

My new '08 gas tank isnow painted vivid blackso these will be removed next week.

 

I bought a 2008 anniversary for the same reason, I really wanted the new red paint scheme, took the copper as it had abs, that is what I wanted and I wanted it now... I understand your reasoning...
