Just renewed my policy yesterday: $344 with progressive. Down from $500 last year (also with Progressive).

How much you pay only matters in relation to how insurance you get for your money.

Is minimum insurance for $200 a year a better deal than maximum insurance for $400 a year?

In my book probably not.....

In that case, I must be getting "premium-top-of-the-line-anything-is-covered" insurance for my price of $1800 a year!
Its alright, only about $150 a month... its good to be 25 with a few speeding tickets.

Holy crap, progressive just sent me my new policy info and raised my rates almost $400 a year to $1680 a year. Everything is at 20k/40k and $500 deductibles with $3000 in accessories. I'm 29, taken the MSF course, own a house 1 accident ever in jan of 2009 and no tickets since mid 2008. I am in shock, they told me nothing they can do to lower it so now I get to go shopping.

I raised my accessory coverage up to 20k and that cost about 300. I also paid for underinsured not insured coverage. I'm about 960 a year through progressive. I had a pretty big claim this year total repairs at 17k thankfully the other guy who was at fault had AAA with excellent coverage or I'd of been *** out with the 3k in accessory coverage that comes standard.
