What coverage limits do YOU guys run on your bikes, and with what companies? Thanks.
Always insure yourself more than the bike! Your attorney is very wise! I've experienced getting run into by a cager who had just enough insurance to be legal. Great thing my insurance stepped in. Laying in the hospital bed for almost 2 months and having 4 surgeries in that 2 months isn't worth having enough insurance to get by. There are 2 types of motorcycle riders...ones that have gone down and ones that haven't gone down yet!

Insurance with Foremost. Renewal just in for $384 a year. Top coverage on everything. Checked around and this is about the best I can get unless I lower the coverage. 2007 Ultra Classic.

Here's a shocker for ya. In NY, motorcycles are NOT covered under no fault, meaning it's imperative that the rider has supplemental under insured coverage. If someone nails you and has crappy insurance or no insurance you could be screwed. Also if they have crappy insurance or no insurance, they probably have no assets to go after in a lawsuit.

The biggest shocker is, and I don't know if its true in other states or just New York, but if your spouse is a passenger on your cycle, she or he is not covered by by you policy unless you have that supplemental "guest" policy rider.
Your kids, girlfriend, friend, or any other passenger is covered under your policy, but NOT YOUR SPOUSE!
