That's crazy.
Though, it doesn't sound all that high when I compare it to my first big Harley. In 1980, my insurance was $1,200.00 a year on my Low Rider. In five years, it would cost me as much as the bike itself did. I was 22 years old, and the only fork locks on those bikes were two welded on holes that lined up when you turned the forks just right. Then you stuck your own padlock thru them. Harleys were easily stolen back then.

USAA doesn't insure motors at all (at least that is what I was told by my rep), they referred me to Geico which has been cheaper than anyone else. Sucks that it is that much overseas for a serviceman. Seems like they should give you the same rate since you are serving our country!
