How do we get around our insurance companies defacing the value of our Bikes, then compairing our bikes to one they found on the internet for sale .

 

If you have a ton of work and expensive parts into it (or not) a professional appraisal would be a good start.

 

Find your own comps. I totaled my last e-glide a few years ago and they offered me $11k. I found my own local comps and after arguing with them for a week they paid me $16k. I had about 80,000 miles on the bike and it was an 04 model. It took a lot of work on my part but was well worth it.

 

When you say comps what do you mean? Appraisal?

 

Comparable bikes for sale in your area. Same year and model.

 

Thanks My fellow Biker Brother they offered me $18000 I hired an appraiser after my 500 deductable a walked away with a FAT check for $23,827 life is good just bought a 2011 Road Glide...
