I've got Progressive. I contacted 3 different companys this fall and all of them told me that in Michigan you pay a "Reduced Rate" all year because they know that you won't be able to ride for 4 or 5 months. They said that the Off Time is already calculated into the yearly rate. It costs me $58 a month total for both my 05 Ultra Classic and my wifes 05 Vulcan 500. I see a couple of 50 degree days in the extended forcast. We may be able to sneak in a March ride. Good Luck..Ride Safe.

I'm with progressive also, gave me the best price. Try going online for a quote, my 99 Sportster costs less than the state surcharge to insure for the year. Don't get me started on why the state charges that for every vehicle I own, that should be a per licensed driver fee as far as I'm concerned as i can only use 1 vehicle at a time.

Hi. I live in Holland also. I have Liberty Mutual. You get a great rate if you have other policies through them. I did have other ones, but switched. I don't think Liberty will be as reasonable for me next year at renewal. I pay $38/month for a '09 E-Glide. I used to have SAFECO, but it was more expensive.

Hi all, I'm in Muskegon and have Progressive, I still call them in the fall to take collision off and in the spring to put it back on. Nobody has had any better rates, although a good friend just told me that Auto Owners now has better rates, we have the cars and house through them so I'll be checking soon. Be careful, there is a lot of BS out there about storage during winter months, why pay for collision when you don't use it.
