If you have Progressive insurance, review your policy....
#21
I guess I will help continue this thread. I had Progressive ins for 2 years, and then they would not renew my policy. Their reason was I had 2 or more claims on a 2 year period.
The '2 or more claims' was for roadside assistance. Had a flat rear tire in Yellowstone NP. Long story, but it took 2 tows just to get it out of the park to West Yellowstone (in park towing is only 'in the park'), then a 3rd tow to the HD dealer in Belgrade, MT.
Granted, I only paid $200-ish for the policy, and the towing bills came to about $1k (!?!?!?), so from an accounting perspective I get it. But still.....
I switched over to Dairyland, and paid a significantly better price than Progressive, like almost half.

The cost of motorcycle insurance can be a huge source of frustration for riders. We don't normally see the premiums of a bound policy change dramatically at renewal; however, if they do, we are partnered with multiple carriers to compare--or keep the original company "in check".
Comparing the cost of policies nationwide is tough, because there are too many factors at play--many of them behind the scenes. (Insurance Score, MVR, ect)
It is best to decide what policy benefits are important and then compare the cost/premium.
1. Replacement Coverage For Life -- No Depreciation for as long as you own the bike
2. Accident Forgiveness
3. Track Day Coverage (Sportbikes)
4. Custom Paint / Wheels & Accessories
5. Roadside Assistance & Trip Interruption
We are licensed in: Arizona, California, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Texas, and Wisconsin.
