Angry Cant belive how much money

I just moved to Florida from Illinois. Full coverage in Illinois was $297.00. Per year. Same coverage in Florida is $1500.00. The difference is the price of uninsured motorist coverage almost $900.00 a year. If anybody knows of a decent priced insurance company please let me know. Thanks. Bob.

I insure through progressive and it's pretty reasonable.

Florida is MUCH more dangerous with MANY more claims than Illinois .. hence the ridiculous change.

I would give Sentry a call, I live in VA and get very good rates.

I've had coverage on my bikes for a number of years through Dairyland, which I believe is part of the Sentry Insurance Group.

Year or so ago I kind of spot checked with local companies to see if I could get a better deal, and I couldn't find anything better.

For example, full coverage on my 2003 WideGlide with $10,000 optional equipment, roadside towing/service and rental vehicle coverage included is $225 a year. I thought about dropping the roadside towing/service but it is only $7.90 a year ($0.66 a month) so I thought heck with it, I'll keep the coverage even if I never use it.

(I did get a quote from Progressive for the same type of coverage I have from Dairyland and if I recall correctly it was almost twice as much per year).

If I looked around long enough I might find something a few dollars cheaper, but I'm happy with what I have.

Location must make a huge difference. I was shopping insurance this morning. I live in Texas. Geico is the cheapest I could find and it was $1050 for both bikes full coverage perfect driving record 35 years old. Dairy land came the closest but were still $400 more.
