I have my 2003 Bourget insured through progressive. Its very costly, close to $800 annually for the same coverege that I have on my 09 ultra, which is $430.00

I have not been able to find another company to insure it. Does anyone know of any company that insures customs?

 

800 is a great deal on a custom bike policy, most won't even write em!

 

I see this! Fortunately the bike is paid for so I can drop comp/collision when its laid up...saves a bit

I just got the annual renewal notice for our Slammer. The insurance is through Gieco and costs $285. The Wide Glide (as well as our other vehicles and home) is insured through Farmers. The Wide Glide insurance is a little more than that on the Slammer. Farmers quoted a much higher price to insure the Slammer.

Of course insurance rates depend on location, age, driving record, etc.

 

I just did a quote through Foremost... A whopping $4300.00 to insure both bikes. only $3200 annualy more than my current progressive policy..

 

Geico has full coverage on my 2008 Big Bear Venom Chopper at $550 for full year of riding.

 

Nationwide does

 

State farm also covers custom bikes. But they coverage these insurance companies offer is fair market value. So you need to be careful on whatr you agree on. I di know that if you have over $7500.00 in custom accessories it is an additional cost. I think it runs around $2200.00 a year to cover the price of a custom. And that is with the additional accessories coverage. So just remember if you payed 30k for your bike and it is totaled or stolen your not getting that for it. Your getting what they concider fair market value. And we know what that means. We are going to take it in the shorts...
