I have full coverage with http://www.ridersplus.com/ but they raised prices tis year and I will get other quotes when I renew.
I pay $1650 and have my M2 and have had the M2 for just over a year, also took the riders safety course. This is on a 2007 FXST.

Well here in Saskatchewan Canada, we have mandatory Government Insurance. It is automatic when you get the license plates, or renew your tags each year. the rate is based on model, engine size and year.
Accidents and traffic violations are reflected on your Drivers license which starts at a base of $25.00 / year. I have known guys who's drivers license, based on bad behavior has cost them several hundred $ to renew.
The base "plate" insurance fro my 86 Electra Glide is around $900.00 / year ( $500.00 deductible). It includes repair coverage, personal injury, and liability.
HD's are expensive to repair ( as we all know) and are prime targets for theft. so they base the rates on such things..
Additional insurance can be purchased to cover some of the deductible and additional coverage of personal injury , liablity, etc.
As here there is NO chance of winter riding, (November till April, ) I personally cancel the plates for that time, as my ride is stored in a locked garage, and guard dog I take the chance of no coverage and save about half of the rate..

I went with State Farm...Full coverage on a 08 Night Train with a M2 = $1075/yr...
Agent said "Full M would be closer to $800/yr for full coverage". This was by far the best deal I could find "but"... I switched my home and auto over from another company to get the rate. Riders plus would have been closest @ $1200 but wouldn't touch me without a Full M. Everyone else..Kingsway etc; were extremely high. Highest quote was $3600.
I have a clean record and I'm in the GTA.

Thanks for the info, people. I guess I have pretty good coverage for a reasonable price. Without digging out the papers, I think The Personal is a pretty good deal.
