I have GMAC, price seems very reasonable, but I have 13 bikes

Insurance is pretty compliucated, and the rules, requirements and laws vary by state. I live in California.

You might want to consider NOT getting uninsured motorist coverage. For me it was a big portion of the coverage premium.

The biggest anvantage of UM is

1. Your deductible is covered if the other guy is at fault in an accident and has no insurance, and
2. Medical is covered
3. In theory you can sue your own compny (note the UM is normally for minimum liability only)

I am willing to live with paying my own deductible and I already have good medical insurance . I am not interested in trying to sue my own company for a few thousand dollars, plus there arr limits in some states for "pain and suffering" payments.

Not for everyone, but might be worth checking out with your insurance agent.

I had an UM do a U-Turn in front of me and Progressive insurance paid the repairs and medical plus some for pain and suffering, no ?, didn't have to sue anyone. Tried to get the mother UM to pay deductable but naturally if your a UM your a deadbeat. I currently have State Farm because they were cheaper w auto and bike.

Had Progressive for years. Come renewal time decided to shop around. Personally I found Allstate the best deal.

Progressive here, previously had State Farm, they're not motorcycle friendly in GA even though I had my house and all of my other vehicles insured with them for years.

Progressive for me, I had my FXSTS stolen a couple years back. The agent said thefts are rarely found, treated me great through the whole process, listened to my up and down attitude and then settled my claim within 300 bucks of where I thought it should be and paid me 10days after the bike was ripped off. The way a company handles a situation is worth it all, didn't think about shopping around on my 2 current bikes.

Default Best Bike Insurance

I've had State Farm for years and have always received great service. There is a substantial discount if your cars and home are also insured with them.

I have Progressive, They treated me great when some clown in an SUV hit me broadside on my last bike, happened on a Friday night and I had a check on the following Friday, they totaled the bike and I got a lot more than I thought I would plus 1000.00 for add ons.
