Default Got quotes from Rider and Dairyland

Dairyland a bit lower cost based on identical coverage limits.

I see a number of people here go with Dairyland. Was wondering if anyone has experience with Rider Insurance? Thanks.

Default Riders

I've had Riders for years and it just went up in price, so I'm shopping too.

I had Dairyland for 2 weeks and switched to Rider. When i had Dairyland they had me setup with my discounts and a couple of weeks after getting things setup i happen to login in and check my account and notice my annual policy went up $250 no notice so i called and they said it was because i hadnt provided proof of previous insurance well you never asked for it so how did i know to send a copy. The lady on the phone said i was sent a notice about and after being on hold i found out the notice went out 1 day prior to me calling so they basically raised my rate without notifying me first! Rider gives me $8,000 in accessory coverage and it is cheaper than dairyland.

Geico has always been my lowest option. Progressive has the cars and the house, but couldn't beat Geico. (Excellent service btw. Last years wreck (caused by the other fellow,) Geico covered the bike for me (and my $500 deductible,) and then 'subjugated' the claim to Travelers (his insurance company,) so that the collision part was handled immediately. I got my settlement right away (totaled and bought it back as a salvage,) and since there was no actual money out of Geico's hands ultimately, my rate stayed the same. Basically they treated it as a courtesy for me.

I've had Rider since 2006, never a problem, and get a discount after each renewal. Just make sure you make the monthly payments on time. I made a payment 1 day after the due date, and I lost my discount.
My fault, just had to start over.

My riding partner had a misfortune with a bear that ended with 4-5K in damages. Sorry don't remember the exact number, but he had HD do the repair with HD parts. Rider paid with no hassle's.

If you have Farm Burreu in your state, they will be the cheapest. Geico is the next price leader.
