Go to the doctor and get checked out. You might have an injury that will reveal itself In coming years. If this is the case, you'll want medical costs for surgery, etc. factored in your settlement with the other person's insurance company.

Go get checked by your doctor or emergency room. If the other party is at fault....their insurance should cover medical expenses.

My breast bone still hurts and feels like a hairline crack is in it from getting hit by a four wheel drive while riding a sportster in 1995.

If your damage is to bolt on parts get your estimate from your dealer, check from insurance order your parts and put them on yourself. I saved enough doing the work myself to do some upgrades. Just a thought.

 

Get to the doctor, this will protect you in the event something surfaces on the coming weeks. Report to your insurance company, report to police if you have not already done so, your insurance company will work work the other drivers insurance company to establish who pays for what. They should put you bike back the way or was before the crash. Give everyone a chance to do their job, keep in contact with your claims adjuster. There are means of recourse should you not be happy with the outcome, but I wouldn't jump on that until necessary. Good luck, I'm sure things will work out.

 

Make a doctor's appointment immediately. Don't mess around with your body, some injuries are masked for days even weeks later. If the insurance company comes to your house for an appraisal, let them do it, then take it to HD to have another one done.

For your helmet, jacket, boot, etc, the insurance company will cover up to a certain amount ($3000.00) without needing the receipt. When I went down, all of my riding gear was replaced down to the gloves I was wearing.
