Looking for a WHIM (Wireless Headset Interface Module HD Part #76000768 complete with bracket/cables/screws) for my 2020 RGL. MSRP is $299.95, Some online dealers around $250. Anyone have one they aren't using?

Don't even get me started on as to why we have to have one of these in the first place. Total MoCo money-grab. Guess $32K for a bike isn't enough...all I want is Apple CarPlay. With my 2018 Toyota Camry, I got a post card telling me to bring my car in for a free flash to enable this new functionality, nothing else need be purchased. HD requires the aforementioned WHIM, then if you actually need to use said WHIM, you can only do so with a special "branded" headset.

I love my bike, but I sure don't like the company that makes them very much when they pull sh*t like this...OK rant over; I feel better...

Nope, HD disabled the Tech's ability to flash it through their portal. The YOUTUBE videos you see online are no longer applicable. There MAY be some unauthorized work-around to make it work with a bike that has a wired headset jack (kind of ironic, they require a WIRELESS module to activate CarPlay, but have a workaround if you have a WIRED headset and must leave it plugged in to operate). Does anyone in this area at the MOCO know WTF is going on? Everyone I talk to about this is pissed about HD's chickensh*t handling of this feature functionality. I'm caving and buying the WHIM and headset, as I am not optimistic that they will come to their senses anytime soon.

 

that sucks. Android auto works in my 2020 fine with no whim.
