this was in my bike when i bought it im upgrading all the audio so pulled this out
radio is Sony CD/Ipod/Aux has the needed plug on rear so you can keep your handle bar controls (adapter needed like scosche harley interface $51 to retain handle bar controls) radio was from biketronics has the shield on in so water dont get in
speakers are either biketronics or hog tunes im not sure? leaning on hog tunes tho you can tell there not harley by the size of the magnets
setup works cd player really dont skip unless a really hard bump, aux input works to never tried the ipod connecting cant say for that but it was all bundled up in side the fairing so probably never used? speakers are not blown no damage that i can see, sounded way better then the stock harley stuff i just cant leave things be
I have a 2017 Limited. Considering a Rockford Fosgate TM400ax4d ($399) which is a 100Watt per speaker amp with Polk Audio MM652's (2 pairs @ $149 each). These speakers require min 100 amps to 300 amps per speaker. Then using the RFXHD kit ($149) for direct plug in. Total cost $850 and will install myself. Then need to flash at an authorized RF dealer at $100. I think this will sound great and 1/2 the cost of Boom audio II upgrade.
Open to any other feedback as I have not bought this set up yet. Is the amp enough for these speakers?
im not to big on polk its "ok" for the money spend on them or maybe a little more you can go hertz or focal it be there entry level stuff but for the basic listener they are good stuff and i think better then polk IMO
