I dont know if they are both a factory default as I didn't verify before removal. I'd have to "assume" so because when I installed them several months ago they were and I feel fairly confident they were not touched since. Easy enough to reset WITHOUT speakers hooked up.
The connector is for the harness/speaker so one in the same.
