I'd be interested in just the control module out of the bt1005x. Does it have the avc, or mute?

 

The BT1005X has the AVC.

Question... Can you read the Kenwood display in the daylight??? If so, I may be interested. I bought one and cannot read it except at night.. :-(

 

You can set the color to 20-30 different colors and also invert the text so the back ground is darker/brighter and the text is opposite.

I never had an issue unless it was a direct reflection from the sun over my shoulder...
But ymmv.

When you say you "bought one" you mean a radio in general or this model? If this model I would say it will be the same...
