Default replaced OEM intake manifold, have issue

I thought I did a good job of installing an S&S Intake manifold but suddenly this morning my bike wouldn't start. You can hear the fuel pump prime when the lights come on, so battery and all that works just fine, but when i start the engine, the starter will turn once, then die.

I read another thread on this website from a while back... that OP didn't connect his fuel pump cable all the way. I tried to check it now but nope, everything under my gas tank is connected properly.

Scratching my head. I'm wondering why it would start up fine but not the next time.

Just because the fuel pump primes and the lights come on doesn’t mean the battery is okay.

make sure while you were in there you didn't accidentally unplug a compression release solenoid or nick a wire for one.

So, now you’re saying the bike started and died?

No, this morning I tried starting it, and it will turn once, then completley shut off, and immediately the lights will come back on. Not sure if that means anything about the battery. I'm just assuming a completely dead battery won't turn back on but electricals evade my grasp

Sure does sound battery related. Terminal connections good? Did you have to remove the ignition coil?

Actually, yeah. I did have to remove it to get to the other side of the manifold. I did double check that the boots were reseated properly but I'll double check..
