Default M8 rocker arm perch chipped.

Has anyone ever seen this happening with the rocker arm perch or tower not sure proper name for it? I'm putting in a big bore kit and noticed this. Engine only has 9K miles on it. The rocker arm has no damage.

It's a 2018. I can't see how the rocker shaft can do that but I'm open to any suggestions.

I was asking myself the same question. I have no idea how long it's even been like that. Before I took it apart the bike sounded and ran excellent. I'll be taking the heads off later today so maybe I'll find it.

Looks smooth. Factory defect that was assembled Monday morning or close to quitting time on a Friday?

There was no work done to the bike before I bought it. Only had a stage 2 with only 2k miles.

Isn't stage 2 a cam change? That could be when the ding occured.
