Yes it connects to bluetooth but it never asks me to enable carplay and activate wifi. I can manually connect to the wifi network and even get to the config page via 192.168.2.1. i have tried compatibility mode in the settings and no change. Maybe the usb cable for the radio is finicky.
Cables are always critical for these devices. I've seen connection failures completely resolved by changing cables. If you have a Cplay2Air, it has a built in cable, so no help there other then perhaps hitting both connectors with some contact cleaner spray (using care around paint) - Don't use q-tips as they will leave cotton all over. Get foam swabs if necessary.

Also, have you tried the settings I recommended earlier (changed in the bios setup screens) Start delay 10 (can be increased to 20 if necessary), video bit rate 2, frame rate 20
