Default Advice on lower fairing removal

I need to remove the left lower on my road glide limited for some paint work. Can the radiator and fan be removed from the fairing without being disconnected, was just thinking if the fasteners can be removed from the lower and then remove the lower away leaving all the lines still connected to the radiator. Can this be done?

Don’t fret about removing the radiator, it’s easy to prime the system.
Put everything back together and turn the ignition on, hold the throttle half open and that’ll engage the water pump and fans. Top off the radiators then install radiator cap and turn off the ignition.

as long as it's the same as a 2014 you don't have to disconnect the radiator, the pics are from when i did the water pump.

Something like that is what I was thinking, only its the left side. Shouldn't be any different.

no different,i don't know if they fixed the nutserts on these things but if it spins take the grill off and use a small drill bit (i think i used a 1/16)and drill through the base of the nutsert and about a 1/16 into the plastic and the bit will hold it from spinning

I have heard of that problem, hopefully that's not happening now.

Well I got it replaced, no problem at all. Everything can be removed from around the radiator and fan assembly. And yes I had one nut insert that spun, so yes this is still something to be cautious about.
