It reduced the pull effort, which my busted up hand needed, and slightly widened the friction zone.

I could see that the OEM hydraulic clutch would be a PITA for police rodeo competition. It was an extreme PITA & PITHand in traffic. Over time I’ve learned to contend with the still not optimum friction zone width. It’s still too much off & on. At least the clutch doesn’t slip.
For sure! As mentioned, I fixed mine with the Muller, but I hear the V3 Aim is working well, too. Any of the 3; AIM, Muller, Rekluse...has to be better than the OEM slave. Even after adding the 1275 springs, and the AIM SDR pressure plate, the Muller is super smooth

if you want to move the friction zone like the 19 and up have swap out the clutch spring seat shim, or whatever its called, the part number is #37000295, its like 20 bucks that and the Rekluse slave made my 18 perfect.

Why not get a longer cable?

I put one of those on my bike, ordered from Fat Baggers, 50 bucks and easy to install and better than that cheap plastic adjuster.

The tail of two clutches.

My 2017 CVO Limited came with hydraulic clutch. At first there was a pulsing that could be slightly felt when shifting which went away. But the 2016 and this 2017 had recalls or maybe just service bulletins which were completed. I cannot remember the issue now? With my 2021 SGS it has of course the cable. Personally I ride both bikes and never think able or notice a difference between the two. If in high traffic at lower speeds there is a noticeable difference in the force required with the hydraulic which can be tiring.

If I had to choose just one I would go with the hydraulic.

From AIM for my 2021 EG project that I didn’t follow through on. “You will enjoy riding your 2021 Electra Glide with LF conversion kit + VP SDR V2 LIGHT”
I was looking at replacing the cable with a hydraulic conversion and their actuator.

Good luck.

I’ll never understand why HD took such a giant step backwards and went back to a cable clutch when all they needed were minor tweaks to their own hydraulic clutch to make it perfect. All they really needed to do was look at how the aftermarket addressed the issues.

Default How much cutch travel?

Just wondering if anyone has measured the travel of the clutch with the aftermarket slave and or do they advertise that in their specs?
Believe HD says minimum of .086 and then it should hold without losing for 1 minute.
Then I wonder what the movement is with the HD cable clutch?

To save $$$$. That's all they are concerned with.
