Trouble code?
#11
The exact same thing is happening to me.... History: I added Fullsac headpipe and baffles to my brand new 2021 CVO Limited. I ordered a Power Vision from Fuel Moto with a canned map. Everything was fine.
I decided to do an auto tune to see if I could fine tune it. I did not read the instructions, I thought it would be easy. Went for a long ride on autotune. Flashed it to the ECM, and noticed the red light on my way back. Pulled over and flashed it again, but a bit differently.
I think I made an error in my choice about the sensors or something. It was 6 months ago, I don't remember. Anyway, what ever I did, it worked. Also, at the time, I did not know how to read the error code in the PV, so I didnt know about the fan.
Fast forward to a couple weeks ago: I installed a CR480 cam and had it Dynoed by a very reputable guy. He used my base map and modified it. On the way home, red light comes on again. I called him and he walked me through the error code. Cooling fan short to ground.
I cleared the code, red light off, but it keeps coming back. I also noticed that my right side fan was off, but right was on. Another time, both fans were on. I showed this to my dealer and they just spent an entire day looking for a short. There is none.
Now they are blaming the Power Vision, and I see they are right.
But how did I accidently fix it 6 months ago?????

Fuel Moto with DynoJet got my issue resolved. They sent me several different tunes that I would then run the bike till a code popped which was usually between 10-80 miles. The code was always that the right fan grounded. I would then download the data and send it them. After several weeks they finally got the tune corrected and the bike has been running great with no codes popping. The customer service and support from Fuel Moto was outstanding and cant say enough. The canned map has been point on and have no complaints. I installed a Woods 22xe Cam, high flow A/C and the Fuel Moto RTX 2-1 pipe on my 2021 RG Limited. If you purchased the tuner from them the’ll get you sorted out. I believe there was some growing pains with the power vision after Harley made changes with the 2021 ecm’s. I believe they ran two different ecm’s that year. Good luck to anyone having issues I know how frustrating it can be.
