Default Best place to have aftermarket cam installed

2020 road king standard. I want an s&s 475 cam with some upgraded cam chest components. Already got stage 1, with fp3 tuner. Where will it be better to have it done, the dealer or independent. I don’t want a dyno and fp3 voided my warranty.

I’d ditch the fp3 and get a power vision and all other components from fuel moto.

you can have them pre program your power vision With a tune with all the components you’ll be running

at that point i would just take it to a reputable independent , most Harley dealerships will quote too much with labor unless you have a good relationship with them

Why don't you want to have it Dyno'd?

Buy a service manual and do it in your garage.

In the CAM CHEST, anywhere else is useless.

The S&S475 cam is a great cam! There really isn't a better cam for the money!

Whoever you trust. A dealer can be great, but I don't know your dealers. Dealers will still work on your bike without the warranty.

Stick with the FP3 since you already own it. They have good map support. If you don't like the performance after you tune it, either get it dyno tuned or spring for the Powervision, but a lot of folks are happy with their FP3 so no reason to toss it yet.

Simple. I'd install it in the motorcycle.

Thanks for the replies. Going to keep the fp3. I’m not mechanically inclined. I don’t think a dyno is really needed. So it’s up to who I trust. Thanks again.

That's good you don't want it Dyno'd... most places won't dyno it with an FP3.
