Looks much easier than what I went through to replace the oil cooler when I install mine. But the fan from the FLTP or Freewheeler (26800095) is $64 less at Surdyke than either Harley's or Thundermax's, so I probably would have gone that route and just trimmed the mounting tabs off the cooler if I had known about it at the time.
Yeah, back when I bought the Thundermax, the only fan HD had was the one where you had to replace the entire cooler with the fan/cooler assembly. Unless you cut the tabs on the existing cooler, which one of the members here wrote a how to a while back.
At least we have more choices now.
That HD cooler fan is on my "to purchase" lists. Does anyone know if HD brand oil cooler chin spoiler would prevent the fan from fitting? To those of you who have the fan, what is the temp difference?

I never was able to monitor oil temps on ours but then again, I never wanted to on any Harleys because that would ensure they were 'way too hot'..
but I wouldn't get caught up in numbers..HD claims up to 50 degrees cooler oil temps so that's good enough..those fans have a powerful air flow removing heat from the oil coolers so you can rest assured it's making a significant difference when its called upon to do so..had them for 75,000 miles on our 2017 107s..pretty valuable feature / function for those that need it..we never felt the need to run synthetic fluids with them
Dude…..you are one of the fastest on here to point out when someone has posted something incorrect (as you did) but maybe that’s why they call me quik, lol
