I bought my 2019 SGS in late 2018, how do I know if the oil pump is one of the good ones? I have never had any sumping or other issues since I owned the bike and I have just under 30K miles on it now.

if you can make it to 30,000 miles without imploding it's a "good one"...jk..don't sweat it, it's working..think the latest greatest was introduced into production around mid 2019

Thanks. I found this online...pretty good info.
I am doing a cam upgrade and was wondering whether or not I should upgrade the oil pump. All signs point to YES just to be sure.
If your pump hasn’t sumped now, it won’t…especially on a non Stage 3 or 4 motor. If you happen to be going into the cam chest then change it out for good measure, otherwise don’t worry about it.
My 2017 never had an issue. Many did. They fixed the pump and that was a failure also. took 3 tries to get it right. The question is do you feel lucky. Go S&S and never worry again
If you're in the cam chest, the MY20 pump is the way to go. Personal experience...
I saw a video that recommended going to a Fueling or S&S over the MY20 if you were going to upgrade cams. I am curious why you recommend the MY20, if that is a better pump I am certainly in. It took Harley 4 revisions to get to that pump so hopefully it's good now.
