For those who've never heard or learned it: Take the manufacturer's base price of the bike BEFORE any numbers are added (like freight and so on) and multiply that number by 0.85 to get the dealer's invoice price. In the case of the Revival model:
$29,200 x 0.85 = $24,820 invoice
Anything above invoice is profit. Freight, setup, prep, doc fees, and accessories are not 100% profit, though they undoubtedly generate extra gross revenue and net profit. No matter how you slice it, the dealer associated with the hang tag (above) is easily trying to make over $10,000 above invoice ...and maybe more.
