Default Primary Cover Balancer

Changed my primary cover and forgot to install the balancer any consequences ?
Not that big of a deal?



Satin finish chrome primary cover $75 six months old

I would install it and so you do not need worry about it in the future.

I'm sure it's no big deal. Harley puts a lot of stuff on and in a Harley for bling.
You will probably just notice a little buzz at your left foot? Ha.. It's called a damper. Any way the chain could hit the wrong thing now? I assume it's hard rubber. If it hit, it would roll, so I am thinking it's not a balancer.

Kinda what I figured it will go back in eventually just don't want to drain the oil and pull it just for that.

It's a damper not a balancer, cuts the noise & felt vibration from the primary area. Outer cover can act like a big bell and transmit noise, why the M8's seem quieter & smoother overall, little details like that.

It's actually called a dampener, not a damper.

Dampener = something that dampens vibration.
