Default X pipe

What are the brand options for a black x pipe for an M8 tourer? A buddy of a buddy told him to get a Rinehart x pipe because that is what he has. I didn’t think Rinehart made one, but he is insistent. Only thing from Rinehart I can find is the extreme duals, but that is not what he wants. I know V&H has an x pipe in black, any others? He’s specifically looking for a black x pipe to go with his Rinehart slip ons.

I have the SlimLine Rinehart header, it has the crossover. It isn't a definitive X like V&H, but has the balance crossover pipe. You can see my pipe in my sig pic

IMO, with the 4 inch Rinehart Touring mufflers and a cam, nothing sounds better.

Best performing X style head pipes on the market are the fuel moto xxx and the fullsac header both fit under the stock heat shield, I like the fullsac because of the longer primary's it flows awesome and creates awesome torque but with the fullsac if you want black exhaust you're going to have to get black factory heat shields and the fuel moto xxx you can get in black

Tberg725,
Thanks for pointing out the difference between the Fullsac and FM headers. I have looked at these pipes several times and never noticed this subtle difference. Good catch.

FM xxx

Fullsac

Another nice thing with the fullsac mx pipe is that is has a full crossover underneath. They do fit with with the stock harley heat shields very easily. It shouldn't be too hard to find a set of black heat shields to fit.

Fullsac
No problem, I been doing alot of research on header pipes and spent hours upon hours looking at dyno graphs seeing how power under the curve and peak numbers are affected and for me the fullsac performs how I want it to so that will be my choice especially sense that power under the curve is vary important sense i'm doing alot of riding in the city and with friends messing around red light to redlight

The fuel moto XXX pipe also has a large crossover underneath both of the pipes are awesome like I said before the reason i'm gonna go with fullsac is because of the longer primary tubes, I want ALL the torque

He ended up going with the VH as well. He has gloss black Rinehart slipons and is hoping the VH looks ok with them. They’ll arrive tomorrow and I’ll throw them on Friday for him.

I was looking at the V&H power duals before I cam across the Fullsac and Fuel Moto pipe, alot of complaints about the V&H clearance and on performance side of things the 2-1-2 merge is not as good as either of the other 2 pipes
