I've been using the K&N replacement filter for years due to the ease with which it can be installed and removed. If K&N comes out with one of the long versions that has the nut welded onto the end, I'll switch over, otherwise, I'm sticking with the short one.

You didn't have to tell us, we already knew you preferred the HD filter in stock form, no upgrades, with warranty, extended warranty that is.

Also been using K&N for years and now this showing them with the most filter material, I'll be sticking with them.

Until theres engineering proof that the longer oil filter has some magical properties I will stick by my original assessment: HD got a fantastic deal on five train car loads of substitute longer filters and purchasing bought them. They also banked on us shrunken heads to immediately create a demand for the longer filter. After all like ***** and displacement, bigger is always better. Right. Um..Right?

Thanks for posting the video Webbster, you saved me some work as I was about to do it myself.

I stopped watching at 11 minutes. He's analyzing form, when it's function that matters.
