Default Adj pushrod installation "challenge"

Installing the Woods WM8-22X cam and Fuel Moto's EZ Quick adjustable pushrods. Zero issues with front cylinder, but even collapsed as far as possible the pushrods on the rear cylinder will not clear the tappet block - and I've wiggled and jiggled them many times.

Anybody else ever have this issue? Any secret tip or trick? In past cam changes I always pulled the rockers, so never had to address this challenge.

What am I missing?

Were they all the same length to start with? Did you rotate the engine to get the lifters to the low point on the cam?

Do not have the top of the tube all the way into the cylinder head until the push rod is in, then push the tube up. Might help. Or approach the tappet block from a different direction. Just throwin' ideas out there.

I used Screamin Eagle adjustable pushrods on my Heritage with Woods WM8-22X cam install. If I remember correctly the pushrods were marked for Intake or exhaust. Is the pushrod seated in the rocker correctly.

I just did this, same cam but FM had run out of their pushrods but sent some no-name ones.
Pushrods are two different lengths for intake and exhaust. I had to do a bit of wiggling to get it to find and seat in the top (rocker arm), it took several tries. I even did it with the tube to make sure It could be done.
I used the Wood lifters from the kit and measured the pushrod extension at .138" equaled 3.5 turns.
The bike fired up right away, oil pressure right away and no ticking from the start, very quiet lifters.
Oh, and the bike is a monster.
without the tube

Thanks for all the replies; although I do have the lifters in the correct position, it really is a moot point since I can't even get the pushrods into the tappet block - the good thing about the fuel moto pushrods is they are clearly marked for intake and exhaust, so kinda hard to get them mixed up. I went ahead and installed front cylinder, as soon as they bleed down I'll rotate the engine and give the rears a go again. Patience is a virtue, or so I'm told......over and over again.

I know what you mean, the rears can be a pain. All I can tell you is keep at it and if you find yourself doing the same thing and getting the same results, walk away and try again later with a new approach. After you insert the pushrod up into the rocker arm, try rotating the bottom end toward the engine, then rotate toward the front and come in from the outside. You'll eventually find the sweet spot and will drop right in. Good luck.
